I think it would've been a riot if in either PPG or Foster's he'd had his "Wander Over Yonder" character passing through the background scenes.

I totally agree! I think he really got into his WOY characters a little too late to think about putting them into either of them though. But perhaps at paying close attention, we might still see some reference in re-watching some of the newer episodes.

Something else mentioned on Toonzone- not to get too of topic- somebody suggests this episode features the only example of 'breaking the fourth wall' in Fosters history (when Bloo is recasting the new Ed, and mentions everybody's roles e.g. Mac the straight guy, Bloo the comic relief)- is this the case?
Has there ever been any other breaking the 4th wall?

That's not breaking the fourth wall, since Bloo doesn't acknowledge the fact that it's a fictional universe. He just talks about the "gang dynamic", which makes sense to him within the universe. It doesn't break the fourth wall, but it's definitely a meta reference, which Season 6 had a lot of. Goodbye to Bloo was particularly filled with meta-jokes like that. This is a more subtle example, from Destination Imagination:
Frankie: After all, aren't friends what Foster's is all about? Bloo: No, Foster's is all about me! (Or something similar; I can't remember the exact words.) Frankie and Bloo are, of course, referring to the home as Foster's, but the joke is that it can be interpreted as the show itself, since Bloo had started to overshadow the rest of the gang as the main character. The Simpsons does this type of joke a lot, since one of the rules of that universe is that the characters are not conscious about being part of a TV show. I think the same rule applies to Foster's, and thus, meta-jokes are used to reference the show without breaking the fourth wall.

I love the episode. It shows us a different side of Bloo, one that values his buddies, and misses them, even if he shows it in an odd way. Replace Eduardo? I don't think so XD As Wilt said
"I know you miss Eduardo, but replacing him won't mask the pain the pain your feeling." That is coming the master of hiding his feelings followed by "Plus, its kidda nice to have a bed to sleep in." lolol oh Wilt. XD but anyway XD I love all the plots XD Bloppypants, Samburger, and Jackie. priceless XD JACKIE'S was most defineltily my fav XD A shout out to Tom and Jerry, or at least old timey cartoons. and the whole Fluffer Nutter thing, I love it, Imaginary couples? I find the idea... adorable XD plus if there were no couples, where all those babies in the nursery come from! but with the vidoe... "I'll be sendin' all y'all good vibrations from the great beyond! ....except for Wilt." I, a PROUD Wilt-fangirl, find this... hilarious XD the idea of Wilt having an enemy, for no REAL reason. oh Jackie XD bt ANYWHOOOOO the ending with Bloo and Ed, adorable. just pain ol' adorable, that Bloo XD he acts like a jerk sometimes but he is just a big ol' teddy bear inside <3

A B.
Which is weird because I feel this episode didn't have to exist.
