Oh puh-leez tell me someone has seen the Gregory Horror Show!
If not, I'd strongly recommend it. It's a CGI compilation of shorts on three DVDs released at different times. All of the shorts introduce different characters and different themes of oddities, yet they all fit into the same general story line of the main character (you) trying to get out of the hotel. It is "shot" in a first-person view, so you, the main character, is rarely (if ever) seen. Most of the shorts are like puzzles... you have to really think about them in order to get the full value out of the story. The shorts are meant to be a little creepy/suspenseful and have comical gore in them, but it's nothing too terribly bad that would terrify the pants off of anyone. The characters are mostly personified animals, but even the human characters don't look like humans. Everything is done in a chess-piece-like blocky style as such: http://www.budnitz.com/images/specimages/s-7262-1.jpg My only complaint is the repetitive opening to every short... if anyone has seen this, you probably know exactly what I'm talking about. They made a video game out of it, but I have unfortunately yet to play it.
