Default Man blames Imaginary Friend for robbery.

Uh....yeah, check it out here.

Quote:
JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - A Jonesboro man may have needed to listen to his conscience - and not his imaginary friend - when thinking about robbing a home. Robert McKenzie, 22, faces felony residential burglary and theft charges after stealing $10.50 in dimes from a Jonesboro home.

Police say McKenzie told investigators his imaginary friend "Curt" told him to go inside the home. At a court hearing Friday, McKenzie asked a reporter why he didn't take a picture of "Curt." Police say Nettleton School District employees caught McKenzie robbing a co-worker's home Wednesday.

Officers say McKenzie stabbed a man with a screwdriver before being arrested. McKenzie was being held Saturday on $5,000 bond at the Craighead County jail. He refused to fill out paperwork for a public defender to represent him.
Suuuure he did. Someone needs help quickly.

I'll get the ball rolling on this...Bendy did it!

Though seriously I hope this poor soul didn't think he was the first person to have thought about using this defense, people have been playing the imaginary friend card ever since the dawn of man almost.

"Curt"? Ha. I'll bet it was Peas whispering in his ear the whole time. "You gotta steal those dimes, Robbie! The House needs the money! Do it, Robbie! Do it for Foster's!"

Seriously, this is weird. I'm curious as to whether or not the show will be mentioned at any point in the case (other than the psych hearing, I mean).

Oh my word.. I have not heard anything like this in a long time. And I don't recall ever hearing anything serious like this from an adult. What a laugh riot!

Yes, I think he needs help, NOW, before he hurts himself. Or someone else. Or even other imaginary friends!

Maybe he read this forum and found out that the show was ending so he wanted to make sure he had enough dimes for the long-distance plea-bargaining call to Burbank.

I wish I knew the guy's email addy. I could try and see if he's registered here...

Well, he ain't none of MY people, last name notwithstanding!
This is even better than the would-be bank robber who tied the black trashbag(without eye, or AIR, holes)over his head as a disguise and passed out from lack of oxygen in the middle of a robbery...while facing the OPPOSITE direction from the teller's counter!

OK, that was classic. I have nothing to say about it exept that it's classic.

Brief side note-- Sparky, are you serious about the show ending? Please tell me this is a sick if belated April Fools' joke. OK, back on topic...

Yeah, I just saw that. I'm sad now... <Goes in corner of SubWay office and cries, then goes home and hugs Wilt pillow and cries some more. OK, maybe not really but I am a little sad.>

Ha, okay. Usually you would hear this kind of thing from a child. I find it kind of humorous that an adult is using this excuse
