Default Superman: Doomsday

Has heard about the upcoming animated Warner film, based on DC's "The Death of Superman"?

To be very honest, I'm no so sure if this film will be good or not, considered that most of the cast from Superman the Animated Series won't be involved. Also, I just hope some parents will pay attention to the film's content (after all, it is rated PG-13).

Still, I have no doubt that Bruce Timm and the crew have done a good job on adapting the storyline, and as I buy this, I hope it's good as Bruce has intended it to be.

I won't be able to afford it and that burns my tacos. I don't know how I'll see it. I'm a huge fan of all things DCAU and Timm, and this promises to be a decent watch.

Talking

I got the DVD today, and after watching the movie, I have to say I'm glad that Bruce and his team did a fantastic job with this film.

While not a "direct adaptation", Superman: Doomsday was true to some of the material from the graphic novel, especially Doomsday, whom I felt was depicted more accurately than his appearance in the Justice League cartoon.

True to the graphic novel, the movie is very violent, dark and distrubing, but not going too far with it.

Finally, while most of the cast from Superman the Animated Series didn't voice their respected characters, these cast did a fine job.

Overall, if anyone admires Bruce's work or DC, I recommend this film.
