Cool

Ah, Scooby doo...
I've been a HUGE fan of Scooby for as long as I can remember, it's one of my biggest obsessions. =)
I loved every Scooby series to come out from "Scooby Doo Where are You" through "Pup Named Scooby Doo". The newer shows weren't as fun for me. :/
When I was littler, I dressed up as Scooby for 3 straight years for Halloween. x) I constantly watched Scooby on Cartoon Network in the 90s and early 00s. Heck, during that time, while just about every kid I knew was listening to the newest CD that had just came out, I was listening to my Scooby Doo Snack Tracks audio casette.
So yeah, Scooby is a big part of my life, and I know I will NEVER get tired of it.

The complete series is already out in Region 2 (though, like many Hanna Barbera releases on our side of the puddle it first had to serve time as a pricey HMV exclusive), so I'd find it hard to believe that it isn't available in Region 1. Hang on, I'll scout Amazon for you...

There you go. Got your credit card handy?

EDIT: Oh yes, and bravo on your well-written essay, Cook. I can tell you're quite the Scooby Doo connoisseur.

Yikes, how the mighty have fallen. I think I'll skip this one.

Ah... Scooby Doo. That show was one of my favorites. I mostly like the "What's New, Scooby Doo" episodes. The Scooby Doo movies are really cool, too. We all love Scooby Doo, don't we?

A tidbit I did forget--after The New Scooby Doo Movies ran its course, CBS brought Scooby Doo, Where Are You! back in the fall of 1974. Hanna-Barbera wanted to make new episodes, but CBS felt they could get just as much mileage out of replays. CBS canceled it on August 7, 1976 (a full month before Scooby moved to ABC) and it was replaced the following week by a show the network had hopes of being as popular as Scooby--an obscure show called Clue Club (which, admittedly, I liked).

That looks like the lineup from when I was a kid.

All told, Scooby has has 17 different series titles, a prime time special (1979's Scooby Goes Hollywood), three made-for-TV syndicated movies, a syndicated special, two live-action movies, and 11 made-for-video movies. (Not to mention guest appearances on Johnny Bravo, The Grim Adventures Of Billy & Mandy and Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law).

As I recall, there was an appearance on Family Guy as well.
