Yay mystery presents! It can be cool to ask for something specific and know what you're getting but I always prefer to be surprised. Happy b-day!

Thank you everyone!!! I feel special...

The mystery gift was... an iHome! I really needed something to replace my old Nickelodeon alarm clock (which I've had since I was six), and I listen to my Video iPod a bazillion times a day.

So, I go from this:

to this!:

Tomorrow's the annual 4th of July/birthday party... And as I've posted in two or three threads (ugh, I feel stupid now), I actually thought when I was little that the fireworks were for my birthday. Stupid, huh?

The outfit my mom got me was cute... A sweet flowery top with a square neckline...

Now I'm listening to the new Kelly Clarkson CD on my iHome... I love it...

Everyone decided (except for my parents) that I'm going to get my presents tomorrow at the party. Oh, and my grandma got me two dresses...

Overall, a pretty awesome birthday.

Awesome. I *really* want one of those iPod sytem thingies, one or another; I do have some external speakers but they don't have a dock and it's a pain to hook the iPod to (which then uses its batteries).

Sweet gifts!

off topic now, but why don't they make an iPod speaker where you snap the iPod into the back and the reverse side is the speaker?

At the party yesterday, I got a black table for my black and white room (my nightstand was two magenta milk crates glued together), a green bag, various clothing, and an iTunes gift card.

But I love how every year my grandparents find some weird way to disguise the money they give me. It's usually in some random kind of shoe box that's not my size, a tissue box, band-aids... a shampoo bottle. And this year was a Christmas light box.

Ha. That was my mom's side's party. And next month when I see my dad, he's having a party too. But they all get me gift cards for various bookstores. Which is good because until the next Harry Potter book comes out, I am sorely out of reading material.

A good birthday, overall. Thanks for all of your birthday greetings!

-Marty
