Default Charles Nelson Reilly. 1931-2007

TV actor, director, Tony winner and panelist Charles Nelson Reilly passed away at his Beverly Hills home this past Friday of complications from pneumonia. He was 76.

Reilly was also prolific on children's programs. He was Hoodoo on the NBC show Lidsville, the title character on ABC's Uncle Croc's Block, Frank Frankenstone on The Flintstone Comedy Show (1980), D.O.R.C.* on Spacecats, and more recently Stan the parrot in the cartoon movie Tom & Jerry: Shiver Me Whiskers. His main claim to fame, however was being the foil for Brett Somers on Match Game through the 1970s.

Aw that's a shame, I remember catching a lot of CNR's best moments watching old episodes of Match Game on the Game Show Network a few years back.
He shall be missed.

Aww, that's so sad! I don't really think I saw or heard TOO much of his work, but I do remember some of it and I recognized the name when I saw it in the thread. May he rest in peace.

I'm not familiar with the man or his work, but he sounds like he was a family friendly entertainer and for that he and his family have my condolences.

Oh, given the time he was on, Charles could be capable of cracking adult-oriented jokes, such the one here in the spoiler bar (for the benefit of anyone who might be embarrassed over it):
Spoiler Below
"I never go to porno movies because it's not good to see two people have more fun in an hour-and-a-half than I've had in a lifetime."
