This section of the forum is supposed to be for licensed merch. only. It's okay if an item that might be homemade is here, as long as it's specified that it might be - or is - homemade. But I'd prefer only definitely licensed merch. be posted here. Other Fan Creations is for homemade stuff. (Even if you didn't make it yourself.)

The company doesn't say so, one way or the other. How does one tell them apart?

Well all the official shirts so far have said CN or Cartoon Network on the label, even the ones from Hot Topic. If yours says Hanes or something, I'd say it's homemade.

(Checks shirt) Yep, it says Hanes. Off to Other Fan Creations we go!

(Moves thread)

Still looks good, homemade or not.

Lol, yes it does. I'd like to know what iron-ons they use, what printer, and what ironing method. There's a whole section for that on a craft forum I'm on. There's a LOT of different ways to make homemade shirts. But let's wait until the first laundering to proclaim the quality great.

The wash instructions say to turn it inside out, use the gentle cycle, cold water, and don't use bleach.

You know, it suddenly occurred to me... my printer can produce iron-ons, I've got blank T-shirts, and I have an 816x2246 bitmap of one of the characters...

The wash instructions on the *shirt* aren't necessarily the wash instructions for the iron-on though. The seller should have given you a printout or something. BUT, the instructions you listed sound pretty safe. If in doubt, dry it flat rather than putting it in the dryer.

And yeah, totally try making your own iron-ons. My advice, try to avoid the "cheap" poly-cotton blends, like you can get at Michaels. More cotton=good.
