Default Favorite Transformers Series

Beast Wars-This is perhaps one of my favorite series out of the Transformers (and back then, I collect most of the Beast Wars toys when they were out). Also, it had a complicated but understanding plot, and it didn't even went stale from one season after another.

Beast Machines-I didn't see why most fans hate this show. Sure, most of the characters have different personalities (including Megatron) and the show has a more dark theme to it, but I enjoyed it a lot regardless of the changes (I really like the looks for the Maximals).

Transformers: Robots in Disguise-At first, I didn't know what to say, since it was the first time I actually saw the Autobots and the Decipticons in the series (I was born in the late eighties), but despite the anime look, it was still the same Transformer.

On a side note, I'm going to keep my thoughts on the live-action version of the Transformers movie until July 4th.

I was more a fan of the original. The old movie was awesome, even though it took place 2 years ago. Ahh the eighties.

Beast Wars (or Beasties, as it was called in Canada) was my first true Fandom! I LOVED that show. My fave char was Tigatron, he was so cool ^^ I useto have over 100 of the figures but a few years back my mom made me give most of them to my little second cousin. I use to take them apart and combind parts from different ones to make my own figures (I still have one thats a Grimlock Cheetor hybrid)

The new batch of Beast War toy they came out with recently are pretty... I might buy the Dinobot one as I never got a chance to even own the original

I grew up with G1, so that will always be my favorite. You just can't help but love the characters and Optimus Prime has become an icon. The movie that accompanied it is one of my all time favorite movies too.
Beast Wars/Beasties definetly comes in first for best storytelling and character develpoment, thats for sure. BW is definetly where the series peaked befeore it took on a more Japanese flavour.
I haven't really watched the anime ones, but I did like the look of RID. I find that the cgi of the other ones just don't look very pleasing. But I do watch Cybertron if I happen upon it.
I'm looking forward to the new transformers series comming out: Heros. It is being made by cartoon network, some of the character designers that are working on it are also designers from Fosters, and some of the writers used to work on BW and BM.
What's getting me excited about Heros the most is that it is not going to be an anime, and it will be a purley North American made transformer show.
