Coincidentally I got a bird a few weeks ago too, actually -- a Pacific Blue Parrotlet -- and the breeder also gave me a prediction of its gender (probably male) based on the width of the pelvic bones (which I didn't even know you could use to determine a bird's gender, I thought you always had to do DNA testing). They're probably even around the same age, too. Congrats! S/he is beautiful! I love the coloring of parrots, so diverse and mesmerizing to look at.

PACIFIC BLUE PARROTLET?! I've always wanted a blue parrotlet, especially since only one bird farm in my area sells parrotlets, and green ones at that, not that green's a bad color, but I like things beyond the norm.
