You mean the characters faces like, for example, this one
 ?Those are smilies. All you have to do is click on the 'Post Reply' thing, and it takes you to bigger typing space with the smilie faces on the side. I am using it as I type right now. Hope that helps! ps. Welcome to Foster's !
