I am not even going into what I feel - Cassini said it all. My Fiancee cannot understand why I chat on the net and why I like cartoons either, but I have already told her "you will never change me - love me for what I am."

It's hard trying to explain to people about Foster's and Frankie. I don't even bring it up anymore unless someone asks, and I do get asked; I don't work, so people want to know what I do all day. I tell them I moderate an internet message board; if they ask what it's about, I tell them. Reactions range from smiles to puzzlement. Sometimes it goes further, and they want to know why I "waste" my time on a cartoon, and I do tell them it's because of Frankie. I don't really care what they think about it, or about me; I'm in love with her, and I won't deny it. In my view, it wouldn't be fair to her, and it's not something that I feel any shame about. I owe her way too much to treat her like that; whether she's real, cartoon, or Sim makes no difference to me, I will treat her with the same love, honor and respect that I would show any woman that I love. I wouldn't consider myself much of a friend if I did anything less. That's how it is for me, at least, and my thoughts here are not to be taken as a comment or critique on anyone else's views or situation, because they're not. We all deal with our feelings in our own way, and we are entitled to do so. What I'm writing here is part of me dealing with and expressing mine. There's so much more that I could say about this wonderful lady, so much more that I want to say, but this is enough for now.
i could go on and on about the reasons why i like frankie, but i think that would sum it up.

I think that pretty much does says it all. I actually have no problem admitting i like cartoons to people, my brother knows it but I do have a problem when he SEES me watching it. I just feel awkward because I don't think he thinks it's "normal" for someone of my age to still watch toons.

My parents are the greatest, they don't care what I watch and there very open to letting me like what i like. Frankie isn't the first major toon love I've had before. Sailor Jupiter, Bunnie Rabbot, Gadget Mouse, and Misty from Pokemon were some of the first super toon loves I've expierenced.

I have never tho EVER confessed openly that I have loved a toon girl to anyone in public, not even let the idea slip out in front of my parents or friends. Simply because to alot of people, they may find it more then just a sign of immaturity, but a sign of insanity or something.

I don't see it as a mentally insane trait myself, I think Frankie is the picture model of sweetness and if anyone actually took the time to see what kind of a person Frankie is on the show and what she does for a living, maybe people would understand why my heart follows who it follows.

I'm the same way, Mr.Marshmellow. I don't admit that I have a crush on cartoon characters, but I am open about likeing cartoons. My parants are also very open about me watching them. Heck, they even sit down and watch them with me!
You know what the funny thing is? My mom clearly favours Frankie as a character in Fosters and I bet that she's the kind of girl that she would want me to bring home to meet her. But I would never let her know that I have a crush on her. Maybe Grey Delisle but not a cartoon character.

Most people, alas, aren't that open-minded. I really don't care what they think about it; I love who I love and I'll say so if asked. If they think me weird or insane, let them, I've been called worse things by better people. Why is it insane to give my heart to someone like Frankie? So she's a cartoon, so what? I fail to see what difference it makes. She's an intelligent, warm, compassionate person who's brought a lot of joy into my life. I'd much rather spend a half-hour with her by watching a Foster's rerun than go out for a night on the town with any Hollywood starlet that you care to name. The only thing - the only thing - that these girls have that Frankie doesn't is a third dimension, and in terms of personality most of them don't even have that. Some of them are more like cartoons themselves. If asked "Don't you want somebody real?", I suppose I would have to say that to me, Frankie is as real as anyone. It's hard to really describe what I mean by that; I think you guys know what I mean, even if the rest of the world doesn't. Besides, if Frankie wasn't so absolutely captivating, and in so many ways, and so personally inspiring, then why would I risk ridicule by admitting that I love her?

It is a depressing situation to be in, Cassini. You could avoid risking critizim by saying that you would like to have a girl LIKE Frankie. That way you're still complamenting her but also sounding "sain" to others. Just a thought.

It wouldn't be true, though. Besides, the people who do matter to me accept it, and that's what counts.
