Part of me prefers hand-drawn animation, and it is a pity it seems snubbed nowadays- with the exception of Pixar (and many occurrences with Dreamworks), CGI seems a little soulless.

Well, if you have been watching, the Oscars are over for another year! Just to recap, this year's winners are:

Personally glad Avatar didn't win. Since Hurt Locker won I get to say I worked for a company that made an oscar winning film.

That's definately the bright side for me. At least Avatar didn't become the new 'Titanic'!

Finally, the Dude (Jeff Bridges) get's his due.
It also was great to see Micheal Giacchino get the win, IMO he is one of the best music men in Hollywood, I would certainly put him up there with the likes of John Williams, Bill Conti and James Horner. Up was one of his best scores to date, that song that played during the montage of Carl and Ellie's life together was one of the most touching things in the history of music.

I searched for it after watching the Oscars, and after watching it, I have to say it was... special!
