Anticipated Movies of 2008
Cloverfield/ 1-18-08-Ever since I saw this trailer and the mystery behind it, I've been dying to know what kind of movie it is, including the plot (other than being a monster movie). Whatever it is, I hope its really good and lives up to the genre.
Indiana Jones IV-I never had the chance to see the first three Indy films, but with the fourth one coming out, I may have the chance to see one for the first time. Sin City 2-Despite the fact that it never intended to came out this year, I hope that, in spite of the production delayment, the sequel to the sleeper hit would make a good impression in theaters. Iron Man-Not use to the recent villainous Iron Man being played out in the current Marvel Comics, I prefer to see the Iron Man being what he was once known as: a hero. Speed Racer-At first, I wasn't so sure about this movie, considered that some movies based on cartoons flop in theaters. But with Joel Silver as producer (including a great cast and a great rendition of the Mach 5), this is an exception. Get Smart-The movie adaption of the well-known TV series looks very promising, and Steve Carrell could pull off a good performance as the goofball Agent 86. The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor-I'm surprise that Universal was making this sequel to the Mummy Returns, but regardless, I'll give this film a chance when I have the time. The Dark Knight-The sequel to the box office hit Batman Begins, the movie reunites most of the cast and the director, picking off from the ending. It would be no surprise if this film has the same success like its predecessor. Bond 22-The untitle direct sequel to Casino Royale is a mystery, but regardless, another great Bond film to look forward to when it comes out. The Incredible Hulk-I was surprise that not only Universal has been producing the sequel to the 2003's Hulk, but the cast and director has been replaced (Edward Norton will be Bruce Banner this time). However, I won't judge the film just yet, as I rather see it first.
