I myself have a big freaking collection of VHS tapes, most of which are recorded TV shows or movies that have still not come to DVD (and some I have a feeling never will). The rest are store bought Dragon Ball Z tapes mostly.

I still have movies on VHS even though now I buy DVDs, but only of ones I don't already have. I keep all my VHS tapes and use them as much as I would a DVD until the tape craps out and becomes too fuzzy or screwed up otherwise to watch.

Other then that, i still love VHS tapes. It's ideal for recording. I actually bought this expensive thing called "go dvd" that can transfer VHS footage onto DVDs and actually improve the quality of the footage when its put onto a disc.

I plan on doing that to all my recorded tapes and just keep the store bought ones forever or until they crap out. But like I said, I don't find the article funny and like I also said, recording shows on VHS tapes was my whole life back when I was a kid.

Even though DVDs have taken over and VHS is undoubtedly gone, I still feel bad just knowing something that was apart of my childhood is gone. Even if it was something as trivial as a video tape.
