Terrence is first seen in the episode being refused entrance to the junkyard ("Jimbo's Junkhole") by the Gatekid, who says that only kids with imaginary friends can get inside. Terrence makes a lame attempt to convince the Gatekid that he is accompanied by an invisible friend, but the Gatekid isn't fooled and slides the window shut. While stalking down the street trying to figure out where he's going to find an imaginary friend so late in the night, he comes across an alley with something moving in the dumpster. It is Eduardo, who jumped in there after being scared by a fluffy kitty; Terrence is frightened by the "monster" in the dumpster until he recognises Eduardo as Mac's "chicken" friend. Eduardo, crawling out of the dumpster, denies being a chicken, so Terrence yells "Boo!" at him, which makes Ed scream, which scares Terrence into jumping into the dumspter himself. Ed runs into the street, where he is almost hit by Madame Foster's big Cadillac. Frightened to the point of not knowing what he's doing, Ed grabs the car and flings it though the air. Terrence is extremely impressed by the feat of strength, and takes Ed back to the junkyard, where they gain admission.

Once inside, Ed gets scared and starts to leave, so Terrence tells him to go ahead because only brave people can hang out in the junkyard. Ed insists that he is brave, so he follows Terrence to the arena area. Terrence ties a cape on him and an Extremasaur jumps out to fight. Ed runs around screaming and throwing junk at it, and finally makes a swipe at it, which knocks it cold. Terrence tells him he won the fight, and Ed claims to be "a lover, not a fighter" (to which Terrence replies "That don't look like love to me," indicating the battered Extremasaur). Realising that he beat up an Extremasaur makes Ed happy, but not Terrence's suggestion that he do it again.

The next day finds Ed (with a full costume) doing battle with more Extremasaurs, and winning every fight out of sheer terror, while Terrence watches on, gaining popularity with the other kids and being interviewed. Terrence then leads Ed out of the junkyard and shows him the medal he won; Ed tries to take it so he can show his friends at Foster's. But Terrence tells him he can't leave yet, because tonight is the Big Tricounty Extremasaur Ultimate Battle Tournament, featuring the scariest Extremasaur ever. Ed tries to leave again, and Terrence calls after him that's fine, if he'd rather go home a baby than a champion...

Later, Mac stomps into his apartment, throwing a stack of "Have You Seen Me?" flyers with Ed's face on them on the counter, and flops onto the couch. Terrence picks up a flyer and asks Mac what's up with him, and Mac tells him that one of his best friends ran away from home. and they can't find him. Terrence blurts that they should check the junkyard, then goes to the kitchen to fetch a sack of potatoes and heads for the front door. Mac asks him what he's doing with all those potatoes, and Terrence assures him that they're NOT for Eduardo, and they're NOT so he can eat them before the Extremasaur Battle Tournament, and that he would NEVER ruin everything by spilling the beans about how he found Ed and got him to fight Extremasaurs down at the junkyard every day. He leaves.

Later in the junkyard, Terrence peels potatoes for Ed while a short nerdy-looking kid wheels in a giant crate. Exclaiming that that's the Champ, Terrence runs off to check it out while Mac, Coco, Wilt, and Bloo arrive to try to talk Ed into leaving - which he refuses to do. The next match begins, but the opponant has been knocked out and replaced by Wilt, Bloo, and Coco in disguise; but Ed doesn't know that and starts pelting them with junk. The junk knocks off their disguise, and the Gatekid accuses Terrence of trying to fix the fight. Angry, Terrence pushes Mac, Wilt, Coco, and Bloo into the giant crate housing the Champ, and dares Ed to go in there and rescue them. But when Ed reemerges victorius, Terrence yells at him - until Ed yells right back, blasting the teen backwards into the crate, where the tiny electric Extremasaur inside gives him a nasty jolt. Screaming for his mommy, Terrence wets himself and runs away.
