Wilt and a skyscraper
I did a little unpacking today. Been doing that on and off since the move, and will probably still be doing it well into next year, but that's another story. Anyway, one of the boxes I unpacked today was the one that originally held the Wilt and Coco statue that I picked up on eBay some time ago. After I emptied it (it held books, in case you're curious) I looked it over, noted the solo pic of Wilt on one side, and an idea popped into my head; I fired up my scanner, opened my trusty copy of Paint, and several hours later this was the result:
Three layers total and a great deal of trimming. The completed pic is about 2600 x 3400 pixels and is over 25 megabytes in size. Paint works wonders. Enjoy, and feel free to comment.

I love it when a cartoon is paired with a real picture, almost making the cartoon look real, too. And I like the artistic way Wilt and the building look together, both being very tall and all. Hehe, Wilt's not quite that tall.
Very nice Cass! And I hear you're working on another space themed pic as well? Looking forward to seeing that, too!

Amazing perspective shot, Cass! It really DOES look like Wilt is standing right there in front of that skyscraper, saying hello with that big ole' grin of his!

An excellent and inspired crossover indeed! I love how you've made it in theme with Wilt's height, and it's a neat perspective too. It's also impressive how you used Paint rather than Photoshop to make this, Paint isn't a program I'd normally associate with photomanips. Very well done!

*claps* Oh wow, seeing that, I did NOT see that face coming. Love it. Paint does work wonders, and then it pays off.

Nice work! It actually looks like he's in front of a skyscraper - in fact, I thought he was until I read the comment below.

O.O Its looks very daunting
I love how you made Wilt tilt and angle the skyscraper, absolutely fun to watch (I think I fully understand why "How's the weather up there" could be a funny joke )

My thanks to all who commented.
For those interested, a slightly larger version has been uploaded to my DA account: http://vejur.deviantart.com/art/Wilt...aper-143877217 Yes, I have a DA account. I've had it for years; I simply haven't used it for anything.
