Seven Elevens become Kwik-E-Marts
Didn't know if this belonged in the other etertainment forum or not, so posted it here to be safe. Anywho, yeah, it's true. The fictional market from Simpsons cann now be found in several states across the US. You can find the news here:
http://www.comcast.net/entertainment...l&cvqh=itn_711 Apparently, all this month Seven Elevens have changed their look to promote the upcoming Simpsons Movie. For a limited time, you can buy "Squishies", "Buzz Cola", and "Krusty-O's". The most amusing thing I've heard all day. They've got one in Denver, so I'll try to check it out. I'll be back with info once I do. |

Yeah this could have gone in the entertainment section I guess...eh.
I wish there was one near me. I'd totally go even though I don't shop at 7-11's.

I think I'll stick with Walgreens and CVS. The only 7-11 we had in my immediate area closed years ago due to low sales and a lack of workers. There were rumors of drug activity as well. It wasn't particularly clean as I recall, either. It was eventually replaced by a D'angelos, which in turn was replaced by a Verizon store.

They aired a story about this on my local news this evening. It looks really cool! I don't know of any 7-11s near me, either, otherwise I'd stop in and see what all they did. There are "statues" of the entire Simpson family standing around the store or sitting on benches, and of course signs and other artifacts relating to the show. It looks kinda' cool. It would be more awesome than more awesome if one day a retail company did this with Foster's!

I found photos of one of them
http://flickr.com/photos/rdr07/sets/72157600590001691/ I wish they did that here. Our two closest 7-11's closed a few years ago, I miss them so much because I -loved- their nachos. The closest one now is a town over, I go there like... Once every 6-7 months. It's just so out of the way |

Now that's really something! Too bad there aren't any 7-11's anywhere near me. The closest thing I have are the convenience stores called "Needs".
