Wilt and Frankie mystery revealed
It was brought to my attention that a potential controversy was a-brewin' over a screen grab from one of the final episodes. Apparently, this screen-grab showed a framed picture of Frankie hugging Wilt. Craig and I actually weren't all that aware of it, as we don't carefully scrutinize the small details of Backgrounds---- but even if Craig HAD noticed it, he would not have seen reason to change it.
In any case, for those who were wondering, it depicts a perfectly innocent hug between the two characters. As the head writer of Foster's I'd like to just clear up that there is absolutely no romantic relationship between Wilt and Frankie. Still, this is merely the intent behind the show, and I would never want to dictate to anyone what they'd like to take out of stories for themselves. If it entertains you to believe these characters are romantically involved, please go for it. I just thought I'd share the official intent of those of us who write these characters and stories. Enjoy the final eps-- sure hope you like the way we wrapped things up. ---Lauren

Thank you Lauren! It's great to have a confirmation concerning those two.
And thank you and Craig from the bottom of our hearts for five great years. They've left an impact on each of our lives. We'll miss the show dearly, but you'll still have our full support on other projects. We love you guys!

Of course not. Frankie's a human and Wilt is an imaginary friend. Why would they have a romantic relationship? BUT, also, there is actully some videos on YouTube with Wilt and Frankie together, but that's their imagination. |
