This question is a valid one if you remember to consider Foster's actual "target" audience of small children (I'm not calling you or other older Cheese fans small children doumbe, I'm just making a point). Doubtless many small children love Cheese, and as we know, many teens and even adults do too. If you count up every person who watches Foster's, perhaps a considerable percentage does only tune in for Cheese.
However, I'd be understating myself to merely say that I HOPE that "most" people who watch the show do so because they like the SHOW and not a single character.

I personally watch the show for the humor, the heartwarming moments, the occasional drama, and the portraying of the friendship between the characters, particularly Mac and Bloo. I like Cheese ok, but he's certainly not the only reason I watch the show.

I like Cheese, but I despair if he's the only reason people watch the show. Not to offend people, but, entertaining as he is, he is NOT worthy fodder for an entire show. Even a kids one. I think Fosters is a lot more than just watching Cheese's crazy antics. I hope I haven't offended any of you Cheese fans out there.

I watch the show for all the characters.
I enjoy it when the gang has to pull together to sort out a problem or help one of their fellow imaginary friends. |

I started watching the show because of Wilt, long before Cheese was introduced, but it is the entire show-the characters, the humor, the in-jokes, the cameos by outside people/characters, the references, everything, basically-that kept me watching it. Cheese is funny, SOMETIMES, but he has the potential to be easily overused and become annoying, and he's far from my favorite character. I don't think that any one or two characters should "carry" this show.

Agreed. I'd hate for this to be the Mac and Bloo show, or the Cheese show. It's called "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends" implying that it's about imaginary friends. It's not "I Dream of Frankie", "Bloowitched", "The Wiltman" or "Eduardo's Island". XD

Related topic here, for those who missed it:
http://www.fosters-home.com/forum/showthread.php?t=727 Cheese has his uses and has had some amusing moments but I can think of several characters I like better, most of whom can be seen in the opening credits (the original version, anyway). In any case the show was fun before Cheese, and it continues to be fun without him. |

I like Cheese, but I'll be damned if I was watching Foster's just for him. I'm more interested in how Bloo can take a totally normal day and turn it into something completely exciting/traumatic, depending on which side you're on. XD Also, Mac and Wilt. XD

I think it would be a bit unfortunate if most viewers only tuned in in the hopes of seeing Cheese, given that he's only appeared in five or six episodes overall. If Cheese is your favourite thing about Foster's, then that's fine and dandy, though if you watch the show on a regular basis, it might be a good idea to find other things to enjoy about it, if only for your own benefit.
