Default For the Love of...CELERY?

Okay you have to wonder...most five year old kids I know HATE vegetables, especially things like celery. This has got to be one of Bloo's strangest tastes. (And apparently, he likes it plain, not even with cream cheese or peanut butter.)
Also I read on Wiki he likes cranberry-apple juice, but I know not to trust everything it says. I've seen the celery proved on the show itself.

Out of curiousity, does anyone here remember liking something like celery as a young kid? If anything, I'd eat off the cream cheese (my grandma used to make those snacks a lot when we came over for holidays) but never touch the celery...YUCK.

well, it was proven Bloo likes juice boxes on Hiccy Burp, but I'm nt sure what kind of juice.

Any way, I know I always DISPISED clery as a kid. For a long time. I still don't have much of a taste for it!

He was proven that he likes cranberry-apple juice in the episode 'Bye Bye Nerdy'. He asks another friend, Bulby, to bring him some juice then complains about it not being "Cran-apple". Although, just like Bloo, he drinks it anyway.

And I think that Bloo liking celery was just used to show how Bloo will always find something to complain about (one of my favorite aspects of his personality, too ). It probably also helps diversify his tastes and make him seem more real, much like his countless allergies. After all, we all like something other people would find gross.

I like it plain, chilled, and right out of the package.

Congrats to LaBlooGirl for passing the 500-post mark!

Hmmm... i liked celery. i never really disliked veggies except for the obvious slimy ones, like brussel sprouts.

I still hate brussels sprouts. >.<

I've liked celery (plain or not) ever since I've first tried it but I wouldn't know what age that was. I've actually started eating it more recently.^^

Mmm celery...

I like it plain or with dip, but I don't like it in things, like salad or diced chicken. Biting into something soft like chicken salad and then hitting that hard, crunchy celery is not a texture I enjoy.
