The Rain.....
Do you like rainy weather? Personally, I love it, though this may be due only to the fact that I live in Texas, where rain is horribly, horribly scarce. Seriously, it's like a true godsend whenever we get any, and I can't help but enjoy that. I've also noticed that, as I've gotten older, I've come to enjoy lightniing and thunder.
How do you feel about it?

I love the rain.
I don't get much rain over here, too, but when I do, boy, is it refreshing! The sky always seems bluer after it rains, and all nature seems to have been cleansed. Thunder storms are always fun, except the air tends to get really muggy and unbearably humid. Lightning is spectacular to watch, but I don't like it when it short-circuits my power. I HATE rain! I'm an outdoorsy type, and often have many outdoor chores to do after I get home from work, and rain makes doing those really miserable. On rainy days, when my students can't go outside for recess, their behavior gets much worse, as if it weren't already bad enough! I myself find it difficult to really wake up and get going(especially with having to wake up at 5:00 am)on rainy days, and with a 40-minute commute to work, down some not-so-well-maintained backroads, rain makes my drive to and from work even more hazardous, and makes it more difficult to spot the Kamikaze deer BEFORE they leap out in front of my vehicle! It turns my dog kennels into muddy messes, making the dogs miserable as well as myself. I also tend to associate rain with storms, and while I like watching lightning, I don't really like the fact that it can kill me, and there's nothing I can do to stop it. Fortunately, we have had a rather dry fall, so far, which means I've had to put up with less rain and enjoy the fall leaves in full glory, for once. If there's a rainy fall, the leaves just turn brown and rot and fall off.

I LOVE rain!!! It's so hot where I live that when we get rain near the fall and winter months, it's almost guaranteed to bring a cold front with it. I love it when it gets cold around here because it rarely ever DOES.

I like rainy Texas days, unless I'm going to a baseball game or something, or if I'm walking somewhere with poor drainage (which happens far too often).

Here in the North East US, we get rain all the time.
I usually love the rain. There's something about how the cold rain numbs everything. It makes you want to spin around in circles, feeling the icy drops on your face and your hair whipping around your head like wet noodles. At the same time, it annoys me when I'm outside. For instance, the first three football games were rainy, and my flute did not like it. Neither did my band uniform, which had to be rung out. But I think the good outweighs the bad, so I will close with this statement: Yay for rain!!! -Marty

Just kidding. I do that all the time, though... I'm a tap dancer, and there's something about the puddles that make you want to dance in them... -Marty
