Airplane!

I'll be flying myself in exactly two weeks today, and I thought that watching this film would help to put me in the right spirit.

I'm almost ashamed to admit that the part that nearly kills me every time isn't the "stop calling me Shirley" banter or even Lloyd Bridge's increasingly drastic addictions, but that hapless mechanic who struggles with the aircraft's "bonnet" at the start . And that girl scout fight is the stuff of legends. I'm not so sure about Otto the auto-pilot, though...I find him a tad creepy.

I really wish I knew how to speak Jive - it's just about the coolest language devised by humankind.

Junebug

A superb family drama, neatly understated and implicitly very powerful. And it contains a nice little cameo appearence from a very good-looking meerkat.

I just got back from the new Harry Potter movie. I love how this new director did it. It was the best one yet. I can't wait to see it again.

The Disney Channel orriginal movie The Thirteenth Year

I've seen it before, and frankly, it isn't really that great. It's more amusing than anything else. It's one of Disney's "Tweeny" movies, and the acting left much to be desired. But it's kind of a cool story. It's about a boy who at the age of 13 is going through "puberty", but he's going through changes that are, shall we say, different, from everyone else. He soon realizes his birth parents were mer-people, and he's turning into one, too. I'm sure it's one of those book-made-movie movies, in which I'm sure the book is much better. And as many of you have already found out, I've had an interest in mermaids since childhood, so I couldn't help but be lurred in.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

I had my doubts but they were nearly all blown away. Talk about DARK, man this movie has some dark stuff here. Seriously black and creepy stuff. There was some impressive acting here and some really intense scenes in here.

That "magic fight" with Dumbledore (you know what I mean) was unbelievable, this was so much more cooler then i thought. My only complaint is I felt the story felt a bit rushed at times, like things moved too quickly through pacing.

Speaking of which, did you see the Get Smart trailer at the beginning, and what did you think of it? I reckon it's gonna rock!
