March of the Penguins

For the third time. The footage of those beautiful and amazing birds is truly phenomenonal, even if Morgan Freeman's narration (wonderful though his voice may be) can get a tad slushy at times. Gotta love those fuzzy little chicks.

Die Hard. This movie has moved up to my # 5 favorite movie spot. Right behind Empire Strikes Back, Borat, IJ & the Last Crusade & Spider-Man 2.

Soooo agree with you there. I loved the first movie, and have yet to see the third. My sis said she didn't like the third, either. I guess the first movies are always going to be the best.

As for the last movie I saw, which was just today, was Legend of Zorro and Marie Antoinette. They were ok. I like historical movies.

Broken Flowers

Subtle drama about a lonely man (played by Bill Murray) who receives an anonymous letter informing him that he has a teenage son on the loose, and embarks on a series of cross-country visits to old flames to try and decipher who the mother might be. I saw this a couple of years ago with some of my friends, none of whom seemed to care for it that much. Admittedly, it's very slow-moving, and there isn't really a great deal of pay-off (story-wise) in the end, but I nonetheless find it a very charming and beautifully-made film with lots of understated emotion and really nice attention to detail. I guess you have to accept that the journey here is the important bit, not the result.

I watched the first half of Terminator II today. Great movie. I'll have to watch it in its entirety later.

You're in for a treat. The movie was one heck of a thrill ride, and I loved every minute of it.

Transformers

I got 3 words for this movie:

IT $#@ING RULES!!

Oh my god, amazing, fantastic, un-freaking believable. YES, YES, YES! This is how you make a good movie people. Anyone who thought Michael Bay would botch this movie should get a plate and be prepared to eat their own words!

This is the best movie of the entire year, I'm on such a buzz from this movie, I can't stop geeking out over it. Smart script work, excellent acting, great music and the action is MIND BLOWING. 5 stars baby, 5 stars !

If there is one movie anyone sees this year, THIS is the movie to see.
