Because of the Wii, every other Nintendo console (except for the DS and the DS Lite) is being forgotten, the games no longer going on shelves. They are all thrown out (if not sold) and are replaced by the so-called awesome Wii's games.

You have your opinions, and I have mine. I think I also hate the Wii for how much it costs. My family could NEVER afford such a thing. Besides, we don't even TRY to buy those new things anymore anyway, because we won't use them as much as the older systems.

Our family policy for getting new systems is, simply, if the old ones don't work anymore. I don't think it's worth it to brake my gamecube just to ge tthe Wii, I don't think it's worth it to trash my also-loved GBA for the DS/DS Lite.

I'm not gonna bother the Wii. I'm just gonna love what I already possess. The Game Boys, (I have two) the Nintendo 64, the GBA, and the gamecube. I love you guys so much. I'll never let you go, even if at some point you might fail me.

The whole "game replacement" thing happens with every new console though, not just the Wii. They stopped making new N64 games after the GCN came out, so in that case, the GCN looks like the bully. I don't think the Wii is necessarily malicious to any other console.

Agreed, Wii tennis DOES have crap graphics, but it was a game given on release, so you can't expect much. Plus, it was a game pretty much cranked out to give you something to try the motion-sensing capabilities on directly out of the box, so they really didn't bother with making it great. It did its job in letting us flail our arms around for the first time on a Wii.

Cost is another thing... it's brand spanking new. They have to make their money somehow, and as far as I'm concerned, it costs just right. They don't get the stuff to make it for free. I spent no more on my brand new Wii than I did on my GCN at the time when it came out.

All-in-all, I love my old systems/handhelds just as much if not more now that I have my Wii, and I happily welcome Wii to the family.

But like you said, to each her own

I hate whenever people won't get the clue to leave my blasted house... One night a few weeks ago, this guy I know came over, and he WOULD NOT leave, even though I plainly told him that I was getting tired and I had work in the morning, and it was SIX in the morning!!! Finally I threw out being nice and bluntly said, "I'm going to bed. I'll see you later." and he FINALLY left.

Jeez.... what a pest.

The fact that Nintendo doesn't make the DS cards more sturdy. I found out today that my PKMN Diamond was corrupt, so now I can't play it. My New Super Mario Bros. was cooked to death in the car. And I don't know WHAT happened with my Sonic Rush. And on top of that, the touch screen is broken. Great job for p***ing one of your fanboys off, Nintendo.
