![]() Nice! I'm not familiar with Death Note, though, so the first thing I thought of was the flying monkees from the Wizard of Oz.

![]() Haruka Tenoh... Sailor Uranus:
![]() Part of a set I picked up recently. The set did not include either Saturn or Pluto but did have a second Neptune figure without the repaint, and a Chibi-Usa figure as well. Unlike a lot of the figurines I've aquired recently, this one is posable, somewhat; her right arm is movable and can be raised, like she was waving. Rather nice, I think, especially considering that the set itself was comparatively cheap, probably because several of the figures had display stands with the wrong names on them. ![]()

![]() You certainly have a knack for finding some beauties at a good price, Cass. It's nice to know that another statuette will be getting a good home.

![]() I like to think they're all pretty happy, although I think some of them resent my Frankie statue because she's not anime and is my favorite.
![]() Usagi Tsukino... Sailor Moon: ![]() Better known as Serena in the USA. Prior to Sailor Moon I didn't know that cartoon superheroes could be lazy, whining, boy-crazy lunatics, but that's what she was, and she did it with style, leaving me laughing and scratching my head after every episode. Yes, I know the display stand has Sailor Uranus' name on it, but it fit her far better than the Sailor Venus stand that was included in her package, which itself didn't fit the Venus figure but was perfect for Sailor Mars. Any wonder the set was so cheap. ![]() Edit - The complete set of 8 figures is available again on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...E:B:SS:US:1123 Worth looking at whether you intend to buy them or not. ![]()

![]() I think I'll pass, but that Sailor Moon figure is nice. The fist thing that sprang to mind was how she was always called "meatball head" in the show.

![]() Before there was Sailor Moon, there was Sailor V:
![]() Sailor V had a manga of her own prior to the creation of Sailor Moon. When the latter was launched, Sailor V eventually joined the Sailor Scouts, where it was revealed that she was really Sailor Venus. Or something like that; I'm a little sketchy on that period of the character's histories. This particular figurine required some assembly; there were eleven pieces total and no directions but it's fairly easy to figure out where an arm is supposed to go. She arrived sealed in plastic wrappings in absolutely flawless condition. A special thanks to Mr. Marshmallow, who found her on eBay and sent me a link. Much obliged, dude! ![]() |
