That is a VERY nice figure of Sailor Mercury Cass, I can only hope Sailor Jupiter and the rest of the scouts have equally nice figures.

I just recently got an anime statue figure of Mahoro Ando from the anime series "Mahoromatic" in the mail through a special DVD package I bought involving a TV special and a box set case.

I have about 7 or 8 anime figurine statuettes, whatever you want to call them so its always nice to see more. Btw, I actually still call the Sailor Scouts by their English names, to me, it's not matter of what their "real names" are or not.

I grew up with Sailor Moon's real name as Serena as such, I'm going to say it that way. To me, saying Usagi isn't "proper" since so many grew up with Sailor Moon dub, either should be accepted no matter what they are called here or there.

There was a Sailor Moon figure on eBay just a few days ago but due to being tapped out from other purchases (also from eBay) I decided that I didn't want to pay the $159.00 price tag.

Either one works fine for me; Japanese or English makes little difference, as long as I know who's who.

Minor trivia point; Hotaru Tomoe (Sailor Saturn) had no English name. I feel kind of bad about that.

Yeah that's a bit pricey for my tastes and my current finances. I think Neptune and Uranus also had no English names. Uranus was still named Haruna (I think) and Neptune was still Michelle although the spelling was changed for her.

I'm amazed at how that Mercury figure looks like it came right out of the cartoon. Truly a work of art that you got there, Cass.

She did come right out of the carton; I got her out and was out looking for a good place for a photo within 15 minutes. The boxes these statuettes ship in are pretty nice themselves, regardless of which show/manga they're from. Most of the writing on them is in Japanese so I have no idea what it says but I'm sure the phrase "Collect them all!" is on there somewhere. Like I need any encouragement. Hopefully I'll find some more good ones in 2008.

I'm sure you won't have any problem finding more, but finding more at a reasonable price could be the hard part. Good luck on future hunts, Cass!

Michiru Kaioh... Sailor Neptune:

Her entire outfit was repainted by the previous owner, who did a heck of a job. Figures of the Outer Senshi are a bit harder to come by than those of the original five Sailor Scouts and tend to command higher prices as a result. The worst of the lot is Sailor Saturn; I recently saw an anime Barbie of her go for around $80.00. I shudder to think what a really high-quality Saturn figure might cost. Michiru (Nerissa in the English version) cost me roughly $30.00, including shipping; she's quite lovely in person, as the paint has a slightly pearl-like luster. Rather fitting for the Sailor Scout who represents the sea.

She's very nice indeed. I still prefer the Mercury one you shown us earlier but this Neptune one is still quite lovely.

Another cute one, Cass, congrats! I like her shoes. And the pearly finish to her skirt. Very pretty.
