Well perhaps that will lead to AS getting their own separate network, which I believe is what they want anyways. *shrug*

"Mother: How are you son?

"Five year old son: *watching Robot Chicken* Fine mom.

"Mother: Oh, my! What are you watching?

"Five year old son: Cartoon Network.

"Mother: Well this is no CN show for you to watch! *mad at network*"
They usually stay up late every Friday and Saturday, it's just the Sunday through Thursdays you'll have to worry about. Not to turn this into a debate, but my 7-year-old nephew gets easier access to InuYasha DVDs at the local library. And that's usually rated TV-PG to TV-14 on [adult swim].

Well even if they did, it would be CN's decision. As much as some people would like to believe that CN and [as] are seperate and are sharing a network, the simple fact of the matter is [as] is owned by TCN (The Cartoon Network). Just because Williams Street operates [as] doesn't mean they have complete ownership.

They do (for the purpose of Nielsen ratings) seperate Cartoon Network (6 AM-10 PM Sunday and 6 AM-11 PM Monday-Saturday as of 7/6/07) and [adult swim] (10 PM-6 AM Sunday and 11 PM-6 AM Monday-Saturday as of the same date) even though they share the same channel currently, much as Nick and Nick at Nite are seperated on their bandwidth. And yes, in this day and age of digital channels (I, for one, do not get Boomerang on my Comcast as a stand-alone channel) it looks like they may start an [adult swim] channel in 2008 or 2009, and Cartoon Network will go back to the current Friday night overnight (until 6/29-30/07) style when that happens.

Yes I heard about the Nielsen thing but they don't have any affiliation with TCN or Time Warner so they can't say who is who's boss or anything.

The real question is in who gets to do the programming, though. In this case, it would be the Williams Street people should (if and when) the [adult swim] 24/7 channel begin next year or the year thereafter.
