don't sweat it: i just checked and it isn't on. Maybe it was last night i saw it on. It is a LONG movie from what i remember, there is an American remake set in the West called "Magnificent Seven" good flick, more often played than "Seven Samurai"

You can program a Tivo for manual recording; it's what I did to catch the Thanksgiving marathon for Sparky. Of course, they don't make it easy because they want you to subscribe to their program listing service, but it can be done.

Alternatively, you can get a DVD recorder--most of them have hard drives that you can record programs with, and my Panasonic is very easy to program by time and channel.

Right now I'm using a Pioneer DVD recorder. The internal hard drive records whatever channel I want, whenever I want it to, and will burn what it records to a blank DVD (after I edit out the commercials). I need something like that for digital channels, preferrably one that can record and burn HDTV channels, too. I want nothing to do with TiVo, cable boxes or subscription services; they never take into account programming that starts early or ends late and are, to me, completely worthless.

Oh, last movie I saw? A live-action remake of the claymation classic "The Year Without A Santa Claus". The original was a lot better and didn't have dancing girls.

I'm glad I never touched the remake.

Did they at least do the "Snowmiser/Heatmiser" song? I look forward to hearing that every year. And the miniature dancing clones...oh yeah.

They did the song, but that was the part with the dancing girls.

I needed a good slice of 80's cheese to perk me up, so I watched..."The Goonies"
