Donnie Darko was on Sci-fi last night. I enjoyed it as much second time round especially the whole time-travel thing. Some good acting too and fantastic music like Echo and the Bunnymen and Joy Division. Also funnier than I remembered. Yeh nice flick.

I wasn't really impressed, either, even though two former writers for Foster's had written this film. To me, a lot of it was the acting that made this a tough movie for me to watch, and the writing wasn't the best. Also, I would've loved to see more animation in the movie. If this is what we're going to get from CN in the future, I'm not looking forward to the future. Unfortunately, I read somewhere that this movie even did better than GWH. That doesn't mean that kids really loved it (though a lot did watch), however, it's a sign that we'll likely get more of these types of movies or shows in the future.

The Green Mile. I had to, because I read the book as well.

I sadly hope not. To me, this was worse then the crap they pump out on Sci-fi channels. The acting was pathetically lame, it was TOO childish even for kids sake, and it made utterly no sense. Not only that, but they WASTED a great opportunity to use this toon idea properly.

When I first heard about this, I thought they were gonna incorporate actual CN toons like Foster's, Puffy Ami Yumi, Titans, and etc into it. To me, that would have been a much better idea then producing shallow made up toon characters with again, acting that is downright atrocious.

Oh yeah, and it had aliens plus a really annoying "dance kid" who made me want to get my teeth drilled rather then watch him anymore . Such a waste of money, CN could have made 50 Foster's movies with the money they wasted on that.

I'm glad I missed it. I had a feeling it wasn't worth watching, but was it really as bad as I'm hearing?

Seven Samurai is a BEAUTIFUL flick. I think IFC plays it a lot, it might be on tonight, actually.

Alas, I do not get that channel, nor do I plan to until I can find a digital cable box/DVR device that I can program to start and stop recording when I want it to, not when Tivo or Comcast tells it to. Until then I'm sticking with analog.
