Oh man... I LOVED Sonic the Hedgehog so much whenever I was little (I still do!). I never had a Genesis, but I went over to my friend's house all the time to play Sonic games. I watched the cartoon constantly!

It's a little ironic that there's a Sonic thread on here, because Sonic was (seriously) my imaginary friend whenever I was younger. *Blushes* Yeah I know, I'm a dork.

On another note, I must say that the DIC cartoon "Sonic Underground" is probably the only thing Sonic that I can't stand. Sorry, but I had to say it.
Nack's exploits have listed to mostly stealing stuff from people. The biggest thing he ever did was kidnapping Sally with a bunch of his weasel relatives, almost kill Mina Mongoose when he tried to killl Sally instead.

And of course, team up with his sister every now and then. I actually cosplayed as him at an Anime convention last year and while my outfit was not the greatest I've made, someone did recognize me and that totally made it worth it.

Don't feel bad about your feelings towards "Sonic Underground". Even though I have never seen it, I have heard it was considered the worst sonic toon out of all that have been created. Although, "Sonic X" was no prize either.

The SATam show will always be a "classic toon" in my eyes, that's the first time Sonic got real DARK and had some serious stuff going on his live. Plus, Robotnik was actually evil for a change and not some stupid goofball like in X.

I love Sonic he's awesome I don't really have a favourite game but I do like Sonic adventure 2 battle because I love chao (I've got loads) I love all the cartoons but I think my favourite is Sonic x. Nearly all my gamecube games are sonic games including Sonic DX sonic adventure 2 battle sonic heroes sonic mega collection Shadow the hedgehog (I think he's cool too) sonic gems collection (Tails skypatrol is soooo fun) and sonic riders. (I only got this a couple of weeks ago and I've already completed both stories wasn't easy though)

OK, make that 2 things Sonic that I don't like. I never could get into Sonic X, the poor voicework was more than I could stand. I had forgotten about it... Not sure how, though.

I'd advise you to stay away from Sonic Underground if at all possible. It is apparently about Sonic and his other-colored siblings using musical instruments (guitar, keyboard, drums) to fight Robotnik and his Bebop/Rocksteady wannabe cronies. It's dreadful, absolutely dreadful.

A real shame that Sonic has to be associated with such a terrible show.

Lol, the barrel puzzle was no prob for me.

Anyway. I love STH games - But not the new ones like SA2B and stuff. The platformers on Genesis were better, but one thing was fun:
CHAO. My bro and I (using the same file) have over 30 Chao. Our best one got lost in a Gameboy Transmission due to a whole bunch of turning the GBA off and on, I guess.

There is only ONE true voice to Sonic the hedgehog.

And that WILL ALWAYS be Jaleel White. Anytime I see any kind of incarnation, version, or show or book about Sonic, his voice is what comes to mind.

That Urkel kid plays one mean blue skinned hedgehog .

IMO, Jaleel's voice was good... in the cartoons. But imagine what he would sound like in the games. 0_0 The newly designed Sonic that was introduced in SA1 wouldn't suit with Jaleel's voice. He would sound 5 years younger than he already is!

To be honest, I never liked the Sonic Adventure's version of Sonic. They didn't give him much of a personality or any real depth other then the fact he was a thrill seeker and he does the "right thing" while tossing out cheesy, smirking lines.

Even in Sonic X, he was very solitary and you could never read the guy or what he was really like inside. White's voice may not have fit for the games, but he gave a life and an edge to Sonic that the SA versions never could accomplish in a million years.

White's Sonic was more then a cool guy, he was a funny, serious, prank pulling, teenager or more accurately a BELIEVABLE teenager.
