Zodiac was another good one. Although there's little way I could take a movie of that nature as close to my heart as I have Ratatouille, I still found David Fincher's latest to be extremely intriguing and superbly made. And surprisingly taut for a movie that's the best part of three hours long.

Hot Fuzz, Persepolis and Ratatouille are clearly my top three. I also incredibly enjoyed Zodiac, Grindhouse, Knocked Up and even The Simpsons Movie. Still, most of the 2007 movies I'm looking forward to still haven't premiered around here (Juno, No Country For Old Men, Sweeney Todd, Charlie Wilson's War, Walk Hard), so I really can't judge yet.

"Ratatouille"

With "The Golden Compass" in a close second.

Oh, and "The Seeker" is third place.

Well, since we've been tight on cash lately we didn't get to see very many movies this year, but I'd definitely say that Ratatouille and PotC would be at the top of my list. Although I thought they were both flawed in some ways (for some reason, it felt like Ratatouille was lacking some kind of "charm" that previous Pixar movies had...I'm not sure what it was, but my parents and some others felt it as well. Not that it wasn't a cute movie, but I didn't find very much humor in this film like I did in, say, The Incredibles or Finding Nemo. And the main problem I had with At World's End was that there were a few storyline errors and weak character development in some areas. I would explain these reasons, but I simply don't feel like it right now since I'm half-asleep), but even counting those problems, both were still very well-made films, in my opinion.

As for the other movies listed, I can't really make any solid decisions there since I haven't seen them yet, but I'm not surprised at seeing Transformers listed here. I heard many good things about it.

Sweeney Todd is amazing... I've seen it twice so far...
