A very unnerved puppet show by Ahmet Zappa. It was the companion series.

My Life as a Teenage Robot. If only for at least one more season, because the show pretty much reached its potential in the second season, and Nickelodeon basically pulled it, leaving the entire 3rd season unaired in the US.

Xiaolin Shodown.
Even though this show did well (lasting at least 4 seasons), the WB studio felt that, ratehr having everything come in full circle, they decided to intentionally cancell this great show. Because of their decision, it left me (and many fans) wondering about some unresolved plots that may never be answered (ie Hannibal Roy's plan that may be more than world conquest, the remaining shen gong wus, Raimundo's new role as leader of the Xiaolin Dragons).

FOX is notorious for canceling great shows before they have a chance to come into their own. (Note: this is NOT and anti FOX rant)
I was just getting into "Drive" when they pulled it after three episodes and have so far not made good on airing the last three episodes of the series. "Futurama" is a favorite toon of mine and fortunately, Cartoon Network picked it up with new episodes to debut in Spring of 2008. I really wish "Enterprise" had gone on, too. Especially after hearing the rumor about basing some storylines on Larry Niven's work. (I would have been really interested to find out what would happen if Captain Archer's Enterprise had encountered a Ringworld, especially after a Dyson Sphere was depicted in Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Relics"). Finally, one only take a look at my screen name to know that I am a huge Firefly fan. That was a show that should be one of the biggest hits on television by now..... At least they made a movie. Sigh.... I'm just glad that Foster's is still making new (though sparsely spaced) episodes. Just my two cents.....carry on |

I liked My Life As A Teenage Robot and Xiaoulin Showdown too! I was also unaware that they were cancelled.... I loved Invader Zim! It was insane, but good!

NewsRadio - Remove the laugh tracks, and it would still hold its own amongst today's comedies.
Andy Richter Controls the Universe - Yet another stupidly premature cancellation by Fox. Andy was in top form here, but the most notable thing was the absolute surrealness of his fantasies. Also starred Paget Brewster, aka Birdgirl from Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law. |

Freakazoid.
Earthworm Jim. Two seasons each - both were amongst the toons which combined superheroics but with great emphasis on comedy. Alas, both also had a stronger adult demographics, which Kids WB didn't know how to handle then, so they were canned. The Tick and the Powerpuff Girls have seemingly been the only ones which managed to successfully pull off a longer run. CN is out. Comedy Central will be picking it up January 1, 2008. |
