I try to save caffeine for when I need it. Right now I'm not drinking anything caffeinated, for example (peach schnapps and orange juice, but that's another story). Still, the coffee is just such a tragedy! I had it all made well and everything!
It's strange that I was proportionately more upset about the coffee than anything else lately.

Well, I discovered that the visiting professor did NOT drink all the Schnapps, so I need to finish it off before buying another bottle. Except I don't like actually getting tanked, so I need to space it a little bit.

Sneaky nutrition label tricks annoy the hell out of me. They don't say much about a company's respect for their customer's health. I find this practice to be questionable at best.

It's done to trick people, though. The average consumer is supposed to look at the numbers, not the serving size. This is similar to shaving cream commercials showing a HUGE amount of lather and suds on the guy's face when you really only need a little bit, or shampoo bottles telling you to "repeat," or prices at $1.99 instead of $2.00. Things like that fool non-thinking consumers, and make businesses tons of money.

Ugh, yeah, a lot of companies use "bait-and-switch" schemes to confuse customers, and make more money than they otherwise would. What I don't understand is how they'd rather do that than keep the customers happy because when the customers find out about it, they can become irate, and their business can be lost indefinitely. Of course that customer is going to give the company bad reviews, too.
As I work in retail, and my official title use to be "Sign Specialist", it was my specific job to put out all advertising signage for promotions and sales we were having, and new product we started carrying. I'd always read the signs carefully before putting them up, and if I thought they were too confusing, it is my own personal morals NOT to display them (it's rarely mandatory to display most signage, so thankfully, I could make that decision). They would say things like "Starting at $2.99", and the words "Starting at" are very small and barely noticeable. And usually one one or two items in that display are that price. Other signs would say just a price, and then in tiny barely noticeable print under it, only one or two items would be listed, but there are 10 items where the sign is displayed. And yet another dumb thing is when we get bonus packages (they come with a small "free" item), and the regular packages go on sale, but the so called "bonus" packages don't. Well, it's not really a bonus package then, is it, if it's more expensive? It irritates me to no end. Yet it happens non stop at my work. And if you ask me, it's unethical. I have long ago learned to read advertising signs carefully, and even match sku numbers, to be sure I'm not taken for a ride.
