I'll give it an A, or an 8/10, whichever you prefer. Cheese wasn't as annoying as I'd feared, Eduardo tanked up on nerve gas was hilarious, and lots of Frankie. What more could I ask for?
Was it just me, or was there a very brief appearance by Dylan in the theater audience? One of the funniest moments for me was when Mac grabbed Madam Foster and carted her away; it reminded me so much of one of Kageri's fanart pieces, the one where Bloo is screaming about "I won't tolerate this!" as Mac tries to control him. It's amazing that Frankie can go through all that she went through, be covered with mud, have her hair completely messed up, and still look beautiful. Nice job, guys! |

What was up with that Opossum on Frankie. That actually was kind of creepy looking. |

Seriously, I still don't know how to describe this episode. I can't say I hated it, but it was a bit of a disappointment. It really was another one of those "Let's Dump on Frankie" episodes, just as much so as that one with that guy from, you know....that place with the bacon. The thing that bothered me so much, though, was that some of the characters seemed so out-of-character. With Cheese, it's understandable that he'd do something like run around yelling "Gotta Go, Gotta Go" incessently-annoying, yes, but still Cheese. He probably saw a Detrol commercial, and he fixated on it. Everyone just took it the wrong way because they expect Cheese to be normal, and he's clearly not, not for an Imaginary Friend, or a human. Bloo was very much himself, too, especially given his previous obessions with brain-sucking zombies. And, it was REALLY ironic that last night's new episode of "CSI" featured a plotline of these nut-cases who were just as convinced as Bloo that aliens from outer space(reptilian aliens) were colonizing Earth and taking over. The plots were so similar, in that regard, that it's scary. All of the above is pretty much available through the previews, so I'll put the rest of my comment in spoiler tags for those who have not seen this episode yet. Like I said, Frankie really catches you-know-what in this episode. She is constantly harrassed by Madame Foster over her cell phone, because we find out that she and Mac are key witnesses in Madame Foster's court trial, in which she is being SUED by Jackie Khones over her alleged theft of a tuna sandwich, which SHE made for herself, and HE claimed by writing his name on it in mustard(no doubt this is a parody of those equally-stupid, but very real, court settlements you hear about on the news)! Now, why Jackie would sue the person who gives him free room and board is beyond me, but there it is. Wilt is her defense attorney. He's reading a book, A Dummy's Guide to Legal Defense, or something like that, while in court. Wilt worried me in this one-not ONCE does he flash that trademark smile of his; for the most part, he looks like his best friend in the whole world has just died. He didn't look this "emo" in Good Wilt Hunting while he was gazing out the window at all those happy Imaginary Friend/creator reunions! He barely spoke two words through the whole episode, and when he did, it was to grovel and apologize to Madame Foster for losing her court case. Seriously, if Wilt isn't on some antidepressant, he sure as heck NEEDS to be, and if he already is, I think they need to increase his dosage, big-time! Eduardo was the funniest aspect, actually the ONLY funny aspect, of the whole episode. If it weren't for his "Cheech and Chong" stoner schtick, I don't think that I would have laughed once. He really saved it, honestly. Maybe they need to give Wilt some of the same stuff that Ed got at the dentist's office. I did snicker over what now appears to be a running gag on the show-possums-this time being the actual first time a possum has appeared, clinging in terror to Frankie's hood on her jacket, with her so frazzled that she doesn't even know it's there. She has had to stand in line at the post office with an angry mob behind her while her grandmother yelled at her on the phone, demanding collector's stamps that are kept in the back(holding up the line even more), she's had to chase down a frantic Cheese, not knowing why he keeps running around yelling "GOTTA GO!" non-stop, she's had to deal with a wasted 575-pound purple monster, try to locate Bloo in a dark theater(where he's watching a tacky B-movie about brain-sucking aliens), chase down Cheese some more, put up with this intrusive hippy in drag, try to make it to court for her grandmother and deal with HER after being too late, look for Bloo, Ed, and Cheese after Bloo decides that Cheese is an alien leader and tries to get the other aliens to come pick him up, climbs a mountain to a space observatory where Bloo has taken Cheese, falls over the mountain after Cheese, acquires the afore-mentioned possum, finally gets Cheese home to Louise, only to find out that Cheese just does this "GOTTA GO!" thing for no reason at all sometimes. Everyone else but Frankie winds up in jail again-Wilt, Ed, Mac, Bloo, Coco and Jackie. By this time, Ed is sober and horribly upset that his pants fell off again and everyone saw his "tushie", Mac is mad at Bloo, Coco and Jackie are fighting over another sandwich(speaking of aliens, where's Experiment 626?), and Wilt looks like he'd fork over a dollar for someone to shoot him and put him out of his misery. Even "Marvin the Paranoid Android" looks happier than Wilt does, and it almost felt like Wilt's presence was just a sort of token "let's find some way to have Wilt in here". I would have preferred not having him at all in this episode, like in "Frankie My Dear", or just having him do a brief walk-through, like in "My So-Called Wife", to seeing him so depressed. Again, I didn't hate it, but I still think that out of all the episodes made, this is my least favorite. Sorry Lauren and Craig and the guys, but it was a disappointment, especially after such a long spell of no new episodes. It really felt like y'all were forced to come up with something to fit CN'S "Alien Invasion" plan. pitbulllady |

No, I'm NOT kidding. Have you SEEN the episode?
Wilt looks thoroughly miserable throughout much of it. You know how he usually acts when someone else is pouring out their problems to him, how he always smiles and talks so reassuringly to them, trying to help them see the bright side of things? Well, when a sobered-up Ed is telling Wilt how awful he feels that people saw him without his pants on(Cheese snatched his belt, and at the time, a stoned Eduardo thought it was funny), Wilt doesn't say a thing. He doesn't even look at Ed, he just sort of slumps over with this really down expression on his face, like he really isn't aware of anything that Eduardo is actually saying, he's so lost in his own miserable universe. pitbulllady |

I'm surprised someone didn't put Cheese out of his misery. He really got irritating as the half-hour wore on.
Mac's assessment of Bloo at the end was quite apropos.

That was interesting...
But Cheese wasn't funny. I loved the Jackie Khones V. Martha Foster case, though. If it weren't for that, I'd hate the episode. |
