Woodstock Wilt (my first fan-art attempt. Go easy.)
Okay, people. A short while ago (on Vampyre?s fan-art thread, I believe) I stated that I?m properly terrible at fan-art. I haven?t really changed in this opinion, but nonetheless I felt inspired by all your wonderful efforts to try and turn in something myself.
So, here we are. My favourite imaginary friend in full hippie gear, out to enjoy three days of peace and music: Please keep three things in mind: 1)As I said in the thread title, this is my first real attempt at Foster?s fan-art, so please don?t judge it too harshly. 2)With limited artistic skills often comes limited artistic resources ? that is, pencil, paper, additional pastel colouring pencils, scanner. Expect nothing too cutting edge from me (and I?m aware that Wilt?s colouring looks slightly off in the above picture. It looked much better in hard format, but I guess things were distorted a little in the scanning). 3)As basic as this image may be, I worked pretty hard on it. Hardcore eco-warrior that I am, I know I went through at least one small forest?s worth of paper just trying to get the shape of Wilt?s head right. I don?t know if I got everything about him exactly right, but I think it?s close enough. PS: I have a strong fascination with Woodstock and hippie culture in general (yeah, I know, I?m hopeless ), so I?m currently considering drawing a few more Foster?s characters along this theme (provided you don?t all hate my initial drawing too much, that is). Watch this space? PPS: First person to identify that bird perched upon Wilt?s wrist gets a prize. And that prize is?a ton of virtual kisses. Good luck.

Looks pretty dang good for someone with so-called "limited artistic skills". Excellent work!

This looks really great, if I must say so myself! The clothing from the '60's and early '70's really suit Wilt pretty well, anyway.

You calling yourself a bad artist is wrong. I really like this, Wilt looks great in those clothes, and it's an original idea too. Nice job with the coloring too
I have no idea who the bird is...
