Default Earthquake!

At 340 this afternoon, I was seated with my family eating a good Easter dinner, when I felt moving. I thought I was having dizzy spells, when I saw the livinroom chandlier swinging, and saw the table moving. I looked at my cousin, and she said "you feel it too?" Pretty soon it became a domino effect with the family - one by one they stopped eating. After about 30 seconds it was over. We saw other people out in the street talking. I turned on CNN and found out that in Baja -they had a 7.2 earthquake that was felt as fa as here, (Arizona) and Nevada (not to mention San Diego and LA). I have not felt tremors like that since Northridge in '94 when I lived in San Diego.

More details here:

Some minor damage has been reported in San Diego and elsewhere. Looks like it was a serious jolt.

ANOTHER one! There've been a lot of earthquakes the last few months, have you noticed? Scary stuff. It's only a matter of time before the Pacific Northwest gets hit by one. I've been worrying about it for months now, and worry even more with every new quake that hits.

I live near LA. There I was exchanging Easter pleasantries with my family when my mother suddenly says "We're having an earthquake."
I looked at her skeptically and said "No, we're not." Then the shaking got worse, everything started waving back and forth and we all scrambled for a doorway. It lasted for a long time and it felt like we were at sea with this tossing and turning type motion. Everything and everyone was fine in the end. It apparently triggered some little aftershocks, but I didn't feel those. A lot of people are on edge after that experience.
