R.I.P Les Paul
The man was known as the "Wizard of Waukeshaw" (town in Wisconsin). If it was not for him, your fav recording artists would not be using the techniques he laid down. Even making the electric guitar be heard with the design of early pickups. He best known for creating the legendary guitar many famous rock musicians are proud to put their "stamp" on. I met the man myself a few times. A true gentleman will be missed. Fly on Lester!

Wow! Far play on meeting Les Paul, Howard. Sorry he's gone.
So that's Les Paul, who were Gibson and Marshall?

Forgot his first name, but if I recall it started out as a music store before the owner started manufacturaing amplifiers. Pete Townsend (The Who) always talked about picking up guitars at Marshall's music shop. |
