Cheese for Halloween
Anyone have any idea where to get or how to make a Cheese costume for Halloween? My 5-year old son loves him and that's all he wants to be this year.

Get some yellow clothing, including gloves & shoes & then make a mask.
Really, it's hard making character costumes until they're made by companys. |

If you live in the California Bay Area I'll TOTALLY make one for you. Lol.
Otherwise, if you're not sewing-inclined, all yellow clothes with a mask and maybe a potato or cereal box to carry around. You can make a mask out of paper or maybe like, felt.

If you can find a yellow knit hat (I imagine one shouldn't be too hard to find right now), you can poke yellow pipe cleaners into it for his "hair". Also, along with the yellow outfit, you can have him tuck a small pillow under his top for Cheese's round belly. Don't know how easy they'd be to find right now, but to top it off you can have him wear swim fins, yellow, or painted yellow. Haha, that would be the ultimate costume. Good luck!

You want to make your son a Cheese costume? Put him in a Cheddar wedge costume.
Seriously, everyone else's suggestions sound like the way to go. All the ideas listed would create an accurate costume of Cheese, so go with that. Maybe we should have a petition with some costume companies to make some costumes of the Foster's characters. That would be awesome. My suggestion, though, is to have your son have some accessories that represent Cheese, like a box of cereal or a stick horsey. That would add to the authenticity. |

As for that hair, it's more of a black color pipe cleaner you'll need, not yellow.
Rubies holds the Cartoon Network and TimeWarner licensing for Cartoon Network costumes, and all they have is Scooby Doo, Flintstones and Tom and Jerry. Contact them vis rubies.com and ask if they'll make Foster's costumes next year.
