"Atomic Train", this afternoon on Sci-Fi. Cheesy but entertaining.

I just saw Madagascar for, what, the sixth time this week? That movie still cracks me up!

X-men: The original movie

As much as I love X2 and still think it's the best X flick out of the triliogy, i still say people don't give the first one enough credit. This was a damn good movie.

I have to agree with Mr. Marshmallow on the first XMen movie ... it was a rush because I was finally seeing all the mutants I love so much come alive on the screen. After that, the thrill wasn't the same, I guess.

The first X-Men was a little slow at times, but it was necessary because it set up the great storytelling and character development in X2, which probably remains one of my favorite superhero flicks ever.

I haven't seen The Last Stand, but what I've seen isn't making me as excited about seeing it. The recent DVD commercials that scream "DA BIGGEST ACTION! DA BEST SPECIAL EFFECTS!" are just like those sleazy "hot chicks" that love to flaunt their "large assets" at the complete expense of any heart and sincerity--which I find simply disgusting. I haven't seen it yet so I hope that isn't the case for me when I actually see it, but I'm keeping my expectations in check.

Here's the thing about "The Last Stand" it's as good as it could have been considering the fact this is a NEW director. Brett Ratner (Rush Hour movies, Red Dragon) directed this movie after FOX fired Bryan Singer from the job.

FOX was upset Singer was taking interest in "Superman Returns" for Warner bros. because there rival companies and Ratner was taken in as a replacement. Now while Singer undoubtedly is a masterpiece maker when it comes to these films, Ratner did pretty good.

There's some amazing fight scenes and effects in here and they did an amazing job bringing Beast and Juggernaut to life. Shadowcat finally gets some air time, and I gotta say, this movie definitely will leave you speechless quite a few times.

But in truth, it does fail in comparison to "X2". There's not enough air time for all the characters in here like they did in "X2", and Ratner clearly isn't very up and up about comic books since he didn't use the mutants he had properly or cleverly.

But Vox, I highly recommend you see it and don't miss out on it. It's not the best, but for a guy who took his first shot at doing a finale flick for a big comic film franchise, I think he did a pretty good job.

Hey, X3 was the last home movie I watched too!

Hey, I liked it...I was rather shocked, though, for...Some stuff. *tries not to ruin anything*
