Oh, I'm so sorry about that, I've lost my dear ol' Daisy back in September last year, I know how it feels.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your dog. I have dogs, and it seems so unfair sometimes that their lives are so short. 14 is really old for a large-breed dog, and I know that the Transylvanian Hound is a large breed. They're one of the ancestors of the Plott Hound, a breed developed in the US. At least he didn't suffer, but went quickly and fairly peacefully, like my old Catahoula Leopard Dog, "Hannah" did a few years ago. It's better that way, when you don't have to make a heart-rending decision to have a dog euthanized because of its deteriorating health with old age.

I'm so sorry to hear about your puppy (they're all puppies to me, no matter how old they are). I've lost three "furry kids" myself, so I too know the pain of losing one. May he always live on in your heart.

I am TRULY sorry to hear that. I just lost my dog last year, it was a heartbreaking and truly painful experience that really wounded me. I know how hard it can be when a dog you love more then just an "ordinary pet" leaves you. Its never EVER an easy thing to experience never.

My deepest sympathies and comfort, he looked like a happy/friendly dog too. Take comfort at least knowing he's not suffering any more aches or pains like that.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Fomalhaut. I think I've met a Transylvanian Hound that looked very like Kobak and he was about the nicest, friendliest dog I've ever met. Your Grandma must feel it bad too, make sure you look after each other. It's a sad thing.

My grandma is totally broken down; she lives alone, and Kobak was her only companion... We try to visit her as often as we could (she wouldn't move to the capital with us), but now she's completely lonely.
