Foster's: Setting a President
FINALLY got myself Season 3 of the show, and since I got it the day that Australia had a new PM, I thought it was appropriate to watch the episode in which Frankie got to become House President.

Recently I began watching The Office. I have no idea why I haven't sooner - from what I've seen so far, it's awesome!

I've started watching Extras- I ended up watching six in one night!
That's the thing with DVDs- the whole seris is there, so it is tempting to watch them back-to-back in one sitting- and you end up with no more new ones! Anyone else like this?

Last night was 20 to 1's Movies' Greatest Look-a-Likes. The list included Robert Downey Jr as Charlie Chaplin, Jamie Fox as Ray Charles, Charlize Theron as Aileen Wuornos, Eric Bana as Mark 'Chopper' Read and Geoffry Rush as David Helfgott. The No. 1 spot was Helen Mirren as Queen Elizabeth II.

Atlanta-Philadelphia game last night. Atlanta won it in 11 innings, 6-3. We're still atop the NL East, two games ahead of the Mets.

My local big box store was having a sale on retro animation DVD's so lately I have been getting reacquainted with such classics as Rocky and Bullwinkle, Underdog and Roger Ramjet.

Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated. Jury is still out on this interpretation of Scooby and the gang.

Two shows that couldn't be any more different even if they tried.
First up was Pumpkin Scissors: An Anime from 2006 which unlike most animes that take place during an armed conflict, this one actually takes a different approach and deals with the aftermath of an armed conflict as the basic premise centers around an army unit that is charged with the war relief effort, helping to get the citizens of their home country back on track. I'm about half way through the series and I think it's been pretty solid so far despite the usual Anime tropes (IE the main female protagonist is a young wide eyed idealist, the main male protagonist is the nigh invulnerable soldier whose past is shrouded in mystery.) All in all it's been able to keep a casual anime viewer entertained so it was worth the 20 buck I paid for the box set last month. The other show I last watched was: Masterchef (USA) Which is Gordon Ramsey's newest reality TV venture, so far the show has been a little slow going through the audition process, which is basically just "Chef Idol" with the three judge format and the tears of joy/sadness from the potential contestants. (Well it is a FOX show after all, so that's going to be expected.) Hopefully the show pick a little once they get to the actual cooking challenges next week. I and that's what I've been seeing.
