No pictures were allowed, unfortunately. We were in her family's restaurant in NYC and her bodyguard was telling everyone he didn't want pictures taken because he didn't want anybody tweeting them causing hordes of people to show up. But I did get to talk to her and she even waved good-bye to us as they were leaving. My friend and I were in NYC that weekend to see her perform at Roseland Ballroom (she was playing 7 shows there before they closed the venue forever), and the next day, while we were waiting in line, she sent us cupcakes, and we got in an hour earlier than we were supposed to to watch her do soundcheck. Best weekend of my life, hands down

Definitely, and she was so down to earth (her whole family was actually). I made a video of clips I took at the show - the first couple of clips are from the soundcheck which is something I was so grateful to experience. If anyone's interested, here it is I believe there's some NSFW language in it though, so be warned

I saw the clip - pretty cool. She donated her piano she had as a kid to the Arizona Music Museum. I saw it when I took my father there.

I went out for my evening walk, as usual. Hadn't been down to CVS in a couple of weeks so I stopped in for a Coke, which I took to my favorite spot near Bank of America, where I like to hang out, drink, and let my mind wander as I watch traffic. There's a vacant storefront next to Bank of America; there's been some work there but until tonight I had no idea what new business might be going in there. Well, now I know:

No idea when they'll be open, what exactly will be on the menu (besides wings), or what their hours and prices will be. Nonetheless, this really made my day. Cassini is greatly pleased.

Edit #1 - Found their menu:

http://www.wingstop.com/menu/

I love Google.

Edit #2 - Open until midnight. I'm usually out between 8:00 PM - 11:00 PM. This just gets better and better. Looking forward to Opening Day!
