Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Village of the Giants.

Another giant (No pun intended) cheese fest from the master of schlock, Bert I Gordon. In which a group of "evil" teenagers steal a growth serum and use their new found enhanced size to take over a small town.

Staring Tommy Kirk, Beau Bridges and Ron Howard as "The Genius" (And no, I am not making a joke, that was the name of his character.)

Ashes To Ashes

Just been catching up on the second series of this, a sci-fi/police drama that first aired in early '08. In a nutshell: a modern day cop is shot by a fleeing criminal, and wakes up from her unconsciousness to find she's been transported back in time to 1981. With the help of a no-nonsense DCI and his team of equally no-nonsense cops, she must somehow try and find a way back to present day.

This is also the sequel to "Life On Mars" which was the same premise, except that involved time travel back to the 70s.

Hajime No Ippo on youtube. I'm addicted to this anime! I really enjoy boxing related shows, so this one has become an instant fave of mine.

Quite a few lately but the one that sticks out in my mind was the debut episode (Or Sneak Peak as Cartoon Network liked to call it ) of Adventure Time: With Finn and Jake.

First off let me say that I think this whole new notion of the Cartoon Network showing cartoons all of the sudden is just the kind of out of the box thinking that may be crazy enough to work.

As for the show itself, I thought it was pretty good, what worked the most about it was that the show didn't take it self too seriously but at the same time was able to keep itself from turning into total nonsense that may leave viewers with the impression of "What in the world did I just watch?" (And believe that's a vary hard thing to accomplish when on of your stories revolve around frozen zombie business men.)

I spent the day watching the entire second season of The Venture Bros. on DVD, save for the two-part season finale. Absolutely brilliant series. I can't believe how late I discovered it.

The last episode I watched featured a really dark parody of Scooby-Doo. Kinda creepy and hilarious at the same time.

Mythbusters

Cass should watch this episode, because there's a Star Trek myth! They are testing the Gorn Cannon! So far, the gunpowder that they have made looks promising, but thinks that the bamboo will explode. *watches the rest* The gunpowder just smoked. It didn't ignite fast enough for the cannon to work. They're now trying the gunpowder with a real cannon. *watches* The gunpowder just pushed the cannonball out. They tried real gunpowder with the bamboo, and the bamboo exploded.

The myth is busted. Sorry, Cass.

Kirk used better quality ingredients in his gunpowder and very strong alien bamboo. And the atmosphere had a higher oxygen content than Earth does, which supports more vigorous combustion when gunpowder is ignited.

It wasn't on TV, but the last thing I watched was Bring Back Star Wars!, and features UK TV host Justin Lee Collins trying to track down all the main cast of the trilogy and host a reunion party for them. It's on YouTube- go look it up!
