I think he needs a thread. For some reason, I think he's quite an amusing character; he even makes a joke at the expense of the show's premise!

Also, do you think he has an 'inspiration' at all? I heard someone say his appearance is based on that of Benjamin Franklin, but I also think that he might have been inspired by the Wizard from the Oz books, as both are 'humbugs' and he even somewhat resembles the John R Neill illustrations.

Any comments?
