Arthur C. Clarke, 1917 - 2008
One of the world's finest sci-fi writers has left us today:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/obit_clarke Clarke wrote a number of my favorite books, including the Rama series, as well as my all-time favorite movie, 2001: A Space Odyssey, a true masterpiece of cinema in any genre. He was 90. He will be missed by many.
