I was afraid of the Gorgs. Really, quite deathly afraid of them. Actually, there was a little bit more to it than that, but the Gorgs were where the bulk of my terror lay. Some would maintain that Jr Gorg was really just a sad and lonely attention-seeker, but he frightened the bejeezers out of me as a kid. He somewhat lost that power in his later animated form, though.
