Not-So-Hopeless Romantic

Man this royally sucks, so many, MANY talented actors are dying over the past 2 years and it makes me so mad because so many had to go so soon. Don LaFontaine was one of the greatest voice actors in the world, his voice truly defined movie trailers and what good narration sounds like.
He had a remarkable gift with his voice and he truly earned his status as one of the best VA in the biz. I remember fondly of the old Toonami DBZ movie commercials he narrated when they were showing the DBZ movie marathon "Dead Zone" "The World's strongest" and "Tree of Might". I loved his narration over those trailers. RIP Don LaFontaine , you were truly one of the greatest vocal talents of our time.

I just saw this on the Voicechasers web site.
It's a link from Bob Souer's blog that was written by the voice of Mr. Herriman, Tom Kane, paying tribute to Don: http://bobsouer.com/blog/2008/09/02/...tribute-to-don Bob got permission from him to repost the story.
