We picked up Kiwi this morning and brought her home. She's kinda ticked but she hasn't bitten anyone yet, lol. She's just been super-noisy and very demanding; she wants to be on both of us, she wants drinks, she wants snacks, she wants to tunnel and headbutt and everything she missed for the whole week. So, the family's back to normal I guess.

From Thursday morning to Sunday afternoon, I didn't even spend $60 for food (most meals coming from the hot deli, bakery, produce and/or dairy sections at Ralphs), so one can do SDCC on a somewhat tight budget. (Full report from me later ... I'm still working.) |

Sounds like everyone made it home in one piece, that's great. Now we just need to officially hear from BBF. I hope all went well for him as well.
Yay, Kiwi sounds to be in good spirits and health. It's funny how our furry/feathered and even scaled family members can have their own little personalities. And we humans just don't feel complete without them. I always miss my cat when I have to leave him. If I make it next year, he will be staying with my mother. "Grandma" will take good care of him. But I'm sure I'll still want to check in now and then.

I made it back safely. ORD pretty much covered what I did in the last 2 days as I was with him for the whole time. Quite something to be part of the little Bloo costume skit with Keith Ferguson, that was a priceless moment, thanks for letting me tag along with that, ORD.
I wasn't as talkative as I could've been at Taka, and as some of you probably saw I wasn't really getting into the food there (I'm a very picky eater), but as Cass said it was all about the company. Glad to hear everyone made it back home OK, too. Felt a bit downhearted at having to leave SD, but I honestly had the time of my life, it's the biggest thing I've ever done. I know I wasn't very talkative with everyone because of my shy nature, but it was great to meet up with everyone and not to have to talk behind a computer screen for once. My flights home were long and draining, and there was plenty of turbulence on all three flights (pretty bad over mid-America, and the landing at Heathrow was canny rough), but as I said I made it back safely. I'm glad I was introduced to this forum when I was, and that I was given the chance to join you all at such a wicked event. Whether I'll be back next year or not remains to be seen. We'll see what happens.

Cool. I'm glad to know that everyone made it back home safe and sound, and that the past week was so brilliant for you. I seriously hope that I'll be able to see the Con for myself sometime - it's got a lot to live up to.

Yay, everyone is accounted for and arrived home safely. That's worthy for the "What Makes your Day" thread.

Yay, I was hoping someone would have been able to capture at least part of the panel on video. Thank you for pointing us toward these great finds!
Has anyone else seen Lauren's Blog yet today? She's got videos from the Con linked there too, and even a picture of Ord in the Bloo costume!

This year, we have almost 15 minutes of footage to show for the Bloo costume and Keith Ferguson interaction, as well as fans and attendees posing for photos. I had to split the video into two, and they are not subtitled (I may try to do that at some point, but not now). Here they are!
