Tetris: The Movie

After Speed Racer, this seems totally believable. ...It's not real, though.

Why not? There's already 2 pop songs and at least 2 TV game shows. Sadly the film will likely eclipse my own Tetris: Order out of chaos trilogy of novels and they'll never be finished. Such a loss.

Aye, I saw this one; it's a goodie, is this. Hopefully the completed film will remain close to the spirit of the original work, and retain all of the moral quandaries and compelling character arcs that made Tetris so memorable in the first place.
Still, koosie, you really shouldn't abandon your dream project on account of this; after all, the Tetris universe was always a complex and multi-faceted one, thematically rich enough to support more than one different adaptive approach. Your literary trilogy, I'm guessing, would have been a more sombre and contemplative rendering than the high-octane drama of the cinematic incarnation; my advise would be to go for it, because I think it's a story that genuinely needs to be told. PS - Does anyone know the release date for the Pac-Man movie? I've been waiting for that one for ages...

Awww, I hoped the Tetris movie wins (or at least gets nominated) for a lot of Oscar awards if it were real. The plot of the games are reaaaaal deep.

Aww, you mean that you just got all my hopes up for nothing? Too bad. I was really looking forward to hearing Elton John's end-credits interpretation of the Tetris theme music (and he is the most obvious candidate for the job).
